Job Title: Senior Draftsman Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Draftsman to prepare, review, and coordinate detailed technical drawings for construction and engineering projects. The ideal candidate will work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to produce accurate drawings that comply with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and revise detailed architectural, structural, and civil drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or other CAD software.
- Interpret engineering drawings, sketches, and design specifications.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and project teams to ensure drawing accuracy.
- Review drawings for quality, completeness, and compliance with project standards.
- Produce shop drawings, as-built drawings, and construction documentation.
- Ensure all drawings are updated to reflect design changes and site modifications.
- Maintain drawing records and document control procedures.
- Assist junior draftsmen and provide technical guidance when required.
- Coordinate with site teams to resolve drawing-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes and company standards.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- 8–12 years of drafting experience, preferably in construction or engineering projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other drafting software.
- Strong knowledge of construction drawings, standards, and detailing.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
